Sigma Electric received the “Witnesses Manufacturer’s Testing for Certification Program” (WMTC)  authorized by CSA Group

Pune, India. May 13, 2018: Sigma Electric Manufacturing Corporation, a leading manufacturer of ferrous and non-ferrous castings, precision machined components and sub-assemblies, received the “Witnesses Manufacturer’s Testing for Certification Program” (WMTC)  authorized by CSA Group based on ISO/IEC 17025:2005, and officially became a CSA accredited laboratory. The certificate was awarded by Todd Hamden, Chief Technical advisor, wiring systems, Canada and Saibal Mukhopadhaya, CSA India Head.

The accreditation of this WMTC means that Sigma’s new products can now be tested under the supervision of the CSA experts within our factory. This will save time, normally needed for application of CSA certification, and accelerate new product development. Thus, Sigma can respond more rapidly, and be more flexible towards market changes. It also means that Sigma’s in-house testing system meets the top global requirements.

Niteen Inamdar, Chief Operating Officer, Sigma Electric, says, “I congratulate the entire team of Innovation and Engineering Center for their hard work in achieving the WMTC certificate by CSA Group. This accreditation confirms that our laboratory is qualified to the international testing standards and demonstrates Sigma’s commitment and professionalism in innovation, quality and safety.”
